Combatant Series - Phase I - Initiation
The start of your sword-wielding journey begins here.
Service Description
Initiate Combatant | Phase I: Screen Combat Basics | 2 Day Intensive Course | MINIMUM 6 PARTICIPANTS TO RUN This is where your training begins, to become the best version of your on-screen self. Over two days of intense screen combat training, you will learn various methods and techniques on how to successfully carry out a choreographed fight and the ability to sell it on screen. You will be guided through this process by our industry professionals who will assist you in honing your skills to be the best version of yourself. You'll learn how to use weapons systems such as Single-Handed Sword, Hand and a Half and Sword and Shield. Alongside the intense practical side, you'll learn the importance of set etiquette as expected by all productions across the industry, but as well as this you will learn our very own standards of which we have built our reputation as the only group of our kind. As well as etiquette we will teach you how to demonstrate your abilities and skills learned safely as this is the main priority when carrying out your craft on screen. Whether you're looking to become a stunt performer, skilled supporting artist or screen combatant, the first phase is by no means a lesson on how to suck eggs, the course is designed to be a challenge whether you have previous experience with on-screen or off-screen combat. It will push your limits both physically and mentally so always come prepared! No matter what your previous experience is, in screen or real-world combat, all our combatants must start Phase I first to progress through each phase accordingly. This is to ensure that all combatants understand the same theory, mechanics and safety of screen combat as taught by CITA. You must be over 18 to attend the course or 16 with parental consent! Industry Recognised Combat International is a brand recognised in the industry by leading Production Companies, Directors, Producers, Stunt Coordinators, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Assistant Directors and Industry Health & Safety. You will be taught by UK industry recognised and respected Stunt Co-ordinators, Performers and Screen Combatants having co-ordinated and performed on some of the largest productions known. __________ WHAT WILL I RECEIVE AT THE END? Combat Internationals' industry-recognised training. Course-Based Grading towards your application for Membership to Combat International.
